Weddings

Image
As many photographer, I’m not one to shoot wedding, but from time to time the request comes from friends that you just can’t say no to... Over the last few years I’ve been honoured to be part of this beautiful day, for many friends. But, with this year’s weddings, Bruce and Geneviève wanted to highlight this day with a Jamie Janx original. Ordering a 30x30 canvas. Pleased with the service in the past, I placed the order with CanvasPop . Here’s a peek at some weddings from the past and the results of Gen & Bruce’s order.

TimeKode Turns 5

Image
A close friend for many years and for many adventures, Zattar, has been part of this collective from it creation. Five years down the road him and his friendly neighborhood selectors keep kicking Timkode every 3rd friday of the month. Here’s what Zattar had to say about Timekode:  “It's hard to believe now, but 5 years ago the TK fire started burning inside the cramped confines of Café Nostalgica on the Ottawa U campus. Originally started by selectors Zattar & Phó alongside host Alanna Stuart, the idea behind the night was to showcase underrepresented musical stylings inside an intimate and friendly atmosphere. Phó & Stuart have since moved on to Toronto where they have been hard at work on their Bonjay project which is taking the independent music world by storm the last few years! Having since moved on to the Eri Café located on the edge of Ottawa's Little Italy/Chinatown area, the night carries on the torch and keeps bringing soul infuse musics fr

Lachute en Blues 2010

Image
After a couple of weeks on the road, I came home to a very different surprise. Cécile had a few cold one ready for me... But wait... My photography is on this beer! CC had just got back from playing Lachute en Blues. A local brewery ( brasseurs illimités ) had made special beer labels for this festival. The blond beer, was Cécile. A good look, for a good beer.

Under Pressure 2010

Image
Spending a wet Sunday afternoon checking out the graffers, skaters and breakers hanging out @ Under Pressure 2010. The light was dull and the place was packed, but I got some shots worth showing. Processed in Xprocess just like the old Kodachrome days. This adds some magenta colouring to this doughy day’s lighting. This illuminates a little better the mood of the peoples and arts displayed.
