                                                                Bison Face, Norwood Bridge Winnipeg greeted me with it's temperamental weather as I cruised the street of downtown, the forks and river front. Had gone down to help my grandmother with her move into a new home. As move go. it went well. But, I needed to get some time to myself. As I just got some new gear, and a new laptop. So the toys needed a test run. The shoot was with the new camera, the editing on the new laptop thousands of km in the sky on my return flight to Montreal. Nuit Blanche Ottawa/Gatineau: Live from the Base Camp Nuit Blanche 2013, The cold and rain was a challenging setting. Yet, the artists still proved that the weather will not hold us back. As one of the invited artist to participate this year, my idea was to present one of my projection in a clean and different way. I present to you the projection box. As many of you know I'm not one to enjoy the black frame, white walls setting. But, knowing I was under a white tent and that I wanted to build a projection box. I build a frame with a cut matte board and inserted a LCD screen so that it looked like a tradition photo, but, on the inside I presented one of my newest projections, Ruelle. Still photography with integrated video movement. August On The Road Taking full advantage of being out on the road this past month. With many photographic adventures on my path. Including 2 projections presented in Ottawa (see earlier posts). Spending some time out in the wilderness at some of my favourite stops and the discovery of Amherst Island on Lake Ontario. Toured Amherst Island by Bicycle (If you take the Fairy with only your bike it's ONLY 1.50$ RETURN). John Akpata: Live from Mercury After many years; ups and downs, life changing events in everybody involved lives. Here's it is. Live from Mercury. John and I have worked on many different projects over the years. Now we have another to add to the list. The completion of this full length listening pleasure. I've had these visuals in my back pocket for some time, and now I'm proud to share this the rest of you. Last nights event also included live painting, great food and another of my projection shows, that got greeted with huge compliments. Here's to another design, photo and projection all in one project!

Arboretum Festival 2013: Projection show Ottawa's Music and Media Arts festival was the setting for my first large format outdoor projection. The projection's called: Tall Pines, Bon Echo Provincial Park & is a new format for me. It's the same principal as my multiple exposure photography, by using a still as the backdrop, layered with video in the foreground.  At the large format of a stone wall (see image above on the right), the size and texture looked great. Sparks Street Artist Alley 2013 A view at the making of the street sign project for the Sparks Street Artist Alley. As many of you know, as a photographer, I've been trying to push the boundaries on exhibiting art work. Trying very hard to steer away from the white walls, black frame side of things. Sparks Street Artist Alley 2013 Ottawa, Ontario May-Aug 2013 Photographic road sign on display all season on Sparks Street in Downtown Ottawa. Built everything myself all the way down to the concreate pads. Bringing Nature's Imagery to an Urban setting using a common thread being road signs. All images are from road trekking in Ontario. Road signs are made with reflective material to glow at night as well as in the middle of the day. Come see them at Elgin and Sparks in Downtown Ottawa...
