Cross Canada

Image
After never ending Ontario, the long stretch of the canadian prairies, down south to badlands, then to make it into the Rockies and finally Vancouver. Helped my boy P rock move his first aid wilderness training company ( http://www.spiritustraining.ca /)  from Nova Scotia to British Columbia. A very long drive, but I would not do it with anybody else. Pete you rock and you know it. Who ever gets the opportunity to trek across Canada in December... This Guy! Marvelous times! A trip never to be forgotten. Thanks again P Rock!

Haliburton Highlands 2007

Image
Back in the Haliburton Highlands. I’ve been coming here every year since I was 2. Truly one of my favorite getaways. Spending Thanksgiving in the woods with the Family. Taking time to trek around and shoot this beautiful landscape. So much water and color. This year I’m taking in the Studio Art tour. The Haliburton Highlands hosts this event ever year on the Thanksgiving long weekend. Visiting artist of all kind directly in the work environment of they're studios. The beautiful felling you get from watching artists produce in this environment...hard to find words to describe. Simply put... Inspiration.

Trekking Nova Scotia 2007

Image
After some pretty major personal changes. Off to the Ocean I go. No better place to be. My distant bro P Rock, his wife Shark and beautiful daughter Madi greeted me for sometime in Centerville. After that comes hanging out with the family at my cousin’s wedding in Bridgewater. Before it’s back to the valley to switch up life. PhoReal! Friend, Family and Photography best remedy.

Ginn Photographic

Image
After over 5 years working in everything from photo processing, to rentals, camera sales, ending my time with the Ginns running the lab. The fun and educational environment of The Ginn Photographic Company is gonna be missed. Ginn Photographic, a family run enterprise for over 25 years has been purchased by Vistek, a larger box store from Toronto. The lab will remain but not at the same scale as it previously ran, I can only hope they bounce back ( http://www.gpclabworks.com ) . I can remember being a little boy with my dad visiting what was then Bill’s Camera Craft on Rideau Street in Ottawa and the excitement that came with the move to Catherine street with a new name; Ginn Photographic. This made business boom and a larger store was needed (433 Bank st), where I spent my working year with the Ginns. I’m sad to leave, but these are the times of big boxy things. Loved my time with all of you.
