February Blues

Image
A slow month of February does not mean that the creativity should be lacking. I’ve made a point of bringing my camera along for the ride no matter where I’m headed. Walking the streets, on the Metro or in a venue, my camera at my side at all times... Building up the MontrĂ©al catalogue originally started for and the first dozen shown at the Hello I Am exhibit in December. Some cold weather, some warm weather, either way I made shooting a daily operation. Here are some of the highlights of the last few weeks... Enjoy!

Kid Koala Presents...Music to Draw To

Image
As you may know Ninja Tune is celebrating it’s 20th year. I’ve been a fan of this record label since the early 90’s. One of it’s great talents is Kid Koala. Prior to the release of XXen, Ninja Tune offered unreleased tracks and mixes free for download. One of these mixes was a Kid Koala Solid Steel recording called: Music to draw to... I feel in love with this mix. Being someone who spends lots of time producing art works, it kinda become a soundtrack to my days in production. Then word came to me that Kid Koala, was offering this quiet evening of art creation in Montreal. How can I best describe this: a beautiful setting of people coming together in the celebration of art... Yep, that’s about right.
