Hometown for Celebrations = Time for Photography

Image
After a lonely train ride... Home Town for celebrations. After many months not going back to Ottawa since my move to Montreal. An invitation to come celebrate some friends Birthdays, including my own, was the perfect reason to do a quick 24hrs road trip to O Town. Things have been very busy in other part of my life for the last while, so I was thinking, what better excuse to walk around and do what I love to do... Photography.

Le Péché Glacé

Image
After a few weeks of planning, constructing, painting, graphics and little blood, sweat and tears (of laugher of course). Here’s the final result of the restaurant make over. I helped out in many ways, but, the menu and graphics are my strong points. Taking the feel from the older restaurant and modernizing it was my challenge. All in All, things took longer then planed, but, the results are worth it. So come for breakfast, have some handmade gelato or sorbet and take a treat home for later.

Loft Exhibit

Another Summer One night stand... After a few one night exhibits done over the course of the summer, here we go again. The Loft exhibit featured myself with 4 other artists all with a personnel sense of style and finesse. A crowded affair on the Montreal’s main, St Laurent. Good friends, Good art, Good times!

Anique Granger: Les outils qu'on a LP

Image
Anique Granger is a francophone for Saskatchewan with a great talent for singing a plucking her guitar. She’s of her 3rd solo album asked me to provide the photography and design. This was a summer long project that came out with a great result. She’ll be touring western Canada in a couple weeks time. So, be sure to check out her website (http://aniquegranger.com) for all the info. Here’s a look at some of the photography and graphics used on this upcoming album.

Under Pressure 2011

Image
Montréal yearly graffiti and all around good times weekend was one again something with great diversity and talent. A weekend of bad weather did not push away the crowds and energy. My favorite being the POP UP SHOP. That exhibited artworks in an empty warehouse setting. Highlighting some works from many different mediums. Pretty hip way to spend a late Sunday afternoon visiting with friends from here and out of town...

House of Paint 2011

Image
Here we go another year with House of Paint. Ottawa’s Uban art/graffiti festival. This year’s participation is in the Connect Photo and Art exhibit held at Fall Down Gallery in the heart of Ottawa. I’ve place 6 images in this exhibit, all on the theme of Urban Ottawa. Check out this prep video and come see the works at the opening this thursday. Lac Bernard: Le Domaine Hudon 2011

Image
Caro has been a close friend for some years now, but, I had yet to spend some time with her and the gang @ le domaine Hudon on the Lac Bernard. Country setting, close friends, camp fire and of course a little jam session, makes me feel very lucky that I’ve been able to spend even more time out in the wilderness. Once again my camera followed and captured all the friends and family coming together.
